American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) ASTD provides information, research, analysis and practical information derived from its own research, the knowledge and experience of its members, its conferences, expositions, seminars, publications and the coalitions and partnerships it has built through research and policy work. ASTD's membership includes more than 70,000 people, working in the field of workplace performance in 100 countries worldwide.

BoardSource BoardSource, formerly the National Center for Nonprofit Boards, is the premier resource for practical information, tools and best practices, training and leadership development for board members of nonprofit organizations worldwide. Through its highly acclaimed programs and services, BoardSource enables organizations to fulfill their missions by helping build strong and effective nonprofit boards.

Business Council of British Columbia Members are drawn from all major sectors of the provincial economy, including forest products, mining, manufacturing, transportation, agri-food, telecommunications, information technology, financial services, energy, tourism, retail, construction, healthcare, education and the professions. Taken together, the corporate members and the associations affiliated with the Business Council are responsible for one-quarter of all jobs in British Columbia.

Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations The Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations (CCHRA) is the result of the collaborative efforts of nine provincial and specialist Human Resources Associations that currently represent the interests of more than 35,000 professionals across Canada of which over 16,000.00 have their CHRP designation.

Canadian Industrial Relations Association The association provides information and support to those interested in industrial relations, work and employment including union-management relations, labour law, human resources management and related issues.

College and University Professional Association for Human Resources The association is committed to promoting the effective management and development of HR in higher education and offers conventions, workshops and seminars, information exchanges and more.

Human Resources Association of New Brunswick (HRANB) The Human Resources Association of New Brunswick was established in 1996 to meet the growth and recognition needs of HR professionals in the province.

Human Resources Association of Nova Scotia (HRANS) HRANS is a professional HR association with members in Nova Scotia and PEI. With over 1,000 members representing 400 plus organizations, HRANS is the largest professional association serving human resource practitioners in the Atlantic provinces.

Human Resources Institute of Alberta (HRIA) The Human Resources Institute of Alberta was established to promote, encourage and maintain a professional standard of practice in the occupational field known as Human Resources Management through the development and certification of practitioners in Alberta.

Human Resources Management Association of Manitoba (HRMAM) The Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba is an organization dedicated to facilitating and enhancing the development and organizational performance of Human Resource professionals in the province.


Human Resources Planning Society Human Resources Planning Society is committed to improving organizational performance by creating a global network of individuals who function as business partners in applying strategic HR management practices to their organizations. It provides current perspectives on complex and challenging HR and business issues.It is a nonprofit organization representing leading-edge thinkers and practitioners in business, industry, consulting and academia from around the world.

Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO) The Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO) is the pre-eminent organization for the human resources profession in Ontario. Membership is at 11,500 and growing.

International Association of Facilitators Facilitation is a profession rapidly taking its unique place alongside those of consulting and training. IAF members work and consult with public, private and non-governmental sectors in over twenty nations.

International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) The International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) is the leading international association dedicated to improving productivity and performance in the workplace. ISPI represents more than 10,000 international and chapter members throughout the United States, Canada, and 40 other countries. ISPI's mission is to develop and recognize the proficiency of its members and advocate the use of Human Performance Technology.

International Quality and Productivity Center The IQPC offers leading edge conferences and seminars on "best practices".

Ontario Society for Training & Development (OSTD) OSTD membership is comprised of professionals involved in training and workplace learning.They have a range of programs, resources and services to assist in staying on top of this dynamic industry.

Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines et en relations industrielles agréés du Québec (ORHRI) The Ordre is the reference organization for human resources management and industrial relations in Québec. The Ordre has over 4,500 members in good standing. It is also the only association authorized to grant the Certified Human Resources Professional Designation (CHRP) and the Certified Industrial Relations Consultant (CIRC) in Quebec.

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 170,000 individual members, the Society serves the needs of HR professionals by providing the most essential and comprehensive set of resources available.

WorldatWork WorldatWork, formerly the American Compensation Association and the Canadian Compensation Association, is a global, not-for-profit professional association of more than 26,000 compensation, benefits and human resources professionals.
