BC HRMA’s professional development program is committed to providing high-quality learning opportunities that build the capabilities and the organizational impact of HR practitioners. Our program is built on the following key principles:
BC HRMA professional development activities are informed by the needs of HR practitioners within BC.
An outstanding mix of expert knowledge and shared experience is drawn from inside and outside the BC HRMA community to provide programming that meets the needs of HR professionals across the province.
Programming supports HR practitioners to be informed of the latest trends and best practices in the field of Human Resources.
A focus on application enables practitioners to learn new strategies and skills, and gain access to tools which can be brought back and incorporated into the workplace for long-term impact.
Activities are linked to the seven CHRP Required Professional Capabilities defined by the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations (CCHRA), supporting candidates to prepare for the designation and enabling CHRP-certified practitioners to fulfill ongoing professional development requirements.
A combination of core programming and hot topic programming supports responsiveness to the evolving needs of HR professionals throughout BC.
