Speaker Proposals
BC HRMA is now accepting speaker proposals for Conference 2011. The number of requests to present to this targeted audience is very high. Presenter/presentation guidelines are provided to ensure you put your best proposal forward. Please read this thoroughly before submitting your proposal. Please note that all plenary speakers have already been selected.
Deadline for submissions is September 10th, 2010.
STEP ONE:
Read the Speaker Presentation Proposal Guidelines.
STEP TWO:
All proposals must be submitted through our online process. Before accessing the online proposal submission, please prepare the following required information. Partially completed submissions cannot be saved.
- Session track – Organizational Effectiveness, Skill Development, Talent Management or HR & The Law
- Title of your session (60 characters max)
- Abstract/overview (1,000 characters or about 180 words)
- Learning objectives (3-6 SMART objectives)
- Strategies and tools (3-6 tools or strategies participants will practice with or take away)
- Session’s relevance to the conference theme
- Target audience description and level (emerging, mid-level, or senior)
- Session format (interactive, lecture, panel discussion, small group exercise or other)
- Min/Max attendee numbers
- Speaker name(s) and contact information (address, postal code, phone, fax, email, website)
- Speaker bio(s) (1,800 characters or about 280 words)
- Qualification summary(s) (including education, designations, awards, and publications)
- References (three references per presenter; references must be able to attest to your expertise on the proposed topic and/or your presentation style and skills)
STEP THREE:
When you have gathered the information above, please complete the online submission form.
Deadline for submissions is September 10th, 2010. You will be contacted on or before October 29th in regard to whether your submission has been selected. Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal.
