The Career Advancement Network (CAN) is an exclusive service to BC HRMA members. The CAN’s purpose is to provide a vehicle
for members throughout BC to advance their careers. CAN is there for individuals who are in transition, actively seeking employment
or simply seeking a forum to network and learn from other HR professionals. There are two separate components to CAN as follows:
- The CAN Roundtables (available in select regions) are member-driven monthly meetings,
chaired by members in those regions, with the goal to further support the CAN members by creating an opportunity to meet, share ideas,
learn new strategies, and network with other like-minded members in a collaborative and supportive manner.
- The CAN Profiles are the vehicle by which members can further promote themselves and their
services to other BC HRMA members and employers alike. They are short summaries of individuals’ career objectives and competencies.
CAN members, suitable for many HR positions, offer a wide range of HR backgrounds and expertise including:
- Recent Graduates
- HR Generalist
- HR Specialists
- HR Managers
- Strategic HR Leaders
