Honorary life member status may be granted to a person who, in the unanimous opinion of the Board of Directors, has made an outstanding contribution to the human resources field or whose involvement with BC HRMA has been particularly significant.

Eligibility

Nominees must:

• Be a member of BC HRMA or, if a non-member, must have been a member during the period of contribution
• Have made a contribution that had a wide-reaching impact in the human resources and/or labour relations community over a significant period of time; or
• Have made a contribution that had a significant impact on the legislative framework of human resources and/or labour relations in BC; or
• Have made a contribution that resulted in significant strategic gains for BC HRMA
• Be available to attend the Award presentation during the BC HRMA 48th Annual Conference, on Thursday, May 6th, 2010 in Vancouver, BC

Nomination Procedure

• A letter of recommendation is to be submitted by a current BC HRMA member in good standing
• The letter of recommendation is to include a summary of how the nominated member has met one or more of the above criteria;
• The nomination must be supported by three (3) letters of support from current BC HRMA members in good standing.
• Please submit your nomination to the association, in care of the CEO.

• Public recognition at BC HRMA’s 2010 Conference during the Awards Gala
• Recognition in the HRVoice.org e-bulletin which reaches more than 4,600 members and 3,000 affiliates
