Honorary life member status may be granted to a person who, in the unanimous opinion of the Board of Directors, has made an outstanding contribution to the human resources field or whose involvement with BC HRMA has been particularly significant.
Eligibility
Nominees must:
Be a member of BC HRMA or, if a non-member, must have been a member during the period of contribution
Have made a contribution that had a wide-reaching impact in the human resources and/or labour relations community over a significant period of time; or
Have made a contribution that had a significant impact on the legislative framework of human resources and/or labour relations in BC; or
Have made a contribution that resulted in significant strategic gains for BC HRMA
Be available to attend the Award Luncheon during the BC HRMA 49th Annual Conference on Friday, April 27, 2012 in Vancouver, BC
Nomination Procedure
A letter of recommendation is to be submitted by a current BC HRMA member in good standing
The letter of recommendation is to include a summary of how the nominated member has met one or more of the above criteria;
The nomination must be supported by three (3) letters of support from current BC HRMA members in good standing.
Please submit your nomination to the association, in care of the CEO.
Now accepting nominations for the BC HRMA Honorary Life Member. Deadline for all nominations is 5:00 PST on Friday, December 2, 2011.
There is no form to complete for this award. Please submit a word document for the letter of recommendation. Letters should be submitted to Quinne Davey at awards@bchrma.org before the above deadline.
Review Process
The Board of Directors will review the nomination and reach a final decision at least six (6) weeks prior to the annual BC HRMA conference.
Successful nominees will be honoured at the annual BC HRMA conference and profiled on the BC HRMA website. Honorary life members are exempt from having to pay annual membership dues and will receive the following:
Public recognition at BC HRMA’s 2012 Conference during the Awards Luncheon
Recognition in the HRVoice.org e-newsletter which reaches more than 5,000 members and 3,000 affiliates
Honorary lifetime membership with BC HRMA (does not include CHRP annual dues)
