The Northern Region offers a number of networking, volunteer & mentoring opportunities throughout the year for HR professionals and partners with other organizations to bring HR educational courses to the area. The Advisory Council runs monthly roundtables which include hot-topic discussions lead by an expert and are an excellent opportunity for industry networking.

Northern Advisory Council
The Northern Advisory Council handles the planning and implementation of local BC HRMA activities and is made up of members representing a range of HR experience levels, areas of practice and geographical areas.

Brad is a Human Resources Manager with the Sinclar Group Forest Products Ltd and is in his second year as Chair of the Advisory Council. |

Incoming Chair & PD/CHRP - Cathy McConaghy, CHRP
Cathy is a Human Resources Advisor with Northern Health. After previous experience on the council, she has taken on the role of Incoming Chair as well as sharing responsibility for the professional development and CHRP portfolio. |

Sabrina is the HR Coordinator at Sinclar Forest Products Group and has joined the council this year. |

Rob is Manager, Talent & Employee Development at Canadian Forest Products Ltd and is in his second year on the Advisory Council. |

Cariboo Chilcotin - Penny Robart
Penny is a Managing Partner with ESP Consulting Ltd and is in her third year on the Advisory Council. She continues to manage all activities in the Cariboo Chilcotin area. |

Joanne is Director of Service Delivery with the Ministry of Social Development and is in her second year on the council. |

Sandra is a human resources consultant and partner in UP-Performance. She has been on the council for four years, two as Chair, and has previously served as a BC HRMA provincial Board Member. |

Kara is a Human Resources Coordinator with Canadian Forest Products Ltd and is in her second year on the Advisory Council. |
