The Fraser Valley Advisory Council provides human resources professionals living or working in the Fraser Valley with a variety of networking and professional development opportunities. Our monthly meetings offer peer support and social contact. In an informal atmosphere, practitioners share ideas and best practices, brainstorm solutions to people problems, investigate effective workplace strategies, and learn about current human resources issues and legislation. Meetings alternate between Langley and Abbotsford.

The Fraser Valley Advisory Council welcomes input from all BC HRMA members who would like to be involved with the growth of HR practice in the region.

The Fraser Valley Region includes members who have their address in the following areas: Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Chilliwack, Cloverdale, Delta, Ft. Langley, Harrison Hot Springs, Hope, Langley, Maple Ridge, Matsqui, Milner, Mission, Newton, Pitt Meadows, Sardis, South Surrey, Surrey, Tsawassen, White Rock

Fraser Valley Advisory Council

The Fraser Valley Advisory Council handles the planning and implementation of local BC HRMA activities and is made up of members representing a broad range of HR experience levels and areas of practice as follows:

		Coleen Hunter, CHRP - Vice Chair Coleen is National Director of Human Resources for Pharmasave and has been an Advisory Council Member for 3 years.
		Lou Rioux, CHRP Lou is an independent HR consultant with Greenwood Consulting and is in his second year on the Advisory Council
		Bill Norris, CHRP Bill is the Director of Employment at Trinity Western University and has been an Advisory Council Member for 4 years.
		Cathy Soper Cathy is a consultant with CRB Consulting & Training and is in her first year on the Advisory Council.
		J.C Chang J.C is a Human Resources Generalist with Cascades Casino and is in his first year on the Advisory Council
		Michele Dance Michele works is a Human Resources Assistant with the Mission Public Schools and is in her first year on the Advisory Council.
		Pamela Robinson Pamela is the Human Resources Manager with Pacific Transit Cooperative. She is in her first year on the Advisory Council.
