Amita Oppal Gill, BBA, CHRP - Sponsorship

Amita Oppal Gill, CHRP, is an experienced Consulting Analyst with Accenture’s Custom and Emerging Global Consulting Practice. Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, committed to delivering innovation.

Amita's background includes experience with Human Capital Management, Financial Services- Banking, and Customer Relationship Management. Her previous roles with Accenture include: Human Resources Advisor, Recruiter, and Canada Human Resources Specialist. She has been responsible for implementing major HR processes such as performance management, compensation, resource management, and people initiatives.

With several years of Banking and Human Resources experience in various industries such as consulting, public sector, and financial services, Amita is known for her desire to work hard, have fun and excel as a member of a team. Amita has a proven ability to build, sustain, and influence relationships at all levels of an organization. She is also known for her bias for action, ability to make decisions, act decisively, influence change, and be accountable.

Amita is looking forward to completing a MBA from Cornell/ Queens in the upcoming year. She graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) with a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) and a Diploma in Management Studies with a specialization in Finance & HR. She also holds Management Certificates in the areas of Finance, Operations, HR, and Marketing. She obtained an Investment Funds Certification and a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.

She has been a member of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and is actively involved with the British Columbia Human Resources Management Association.

Additionally, Amita has been giving back to the community by providing leadership on the steering committee for Accenture’s Vancouver Corporate Citizenship team, which supports organizations such as the United Way, BC Children’s Hospital, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, and Junior Achievement.
