The Central Interior Region offers a number of educational, volunteer and networking opportunities throughout the year for HR professionals in Kamloops and the surrounding areas. Professional development workshops and roundtables, covering a variety of topics, are organized by the Advisory Council to meet the needs of BC HRMA members in this area. Networking opportunities are also provided on a regular basis, including monthly mingles and an annual holiday social event. The region also has an active mentoring program.

BC HRMA members are encouraged to participate on the Advisory Council and/or provide suggestions and ideas of local interest. The Central Interior Advisory Council welcomes input from all BC HRMA members who would like to be involved with the growth of HR practice in the region. A call for volunteers on the Council is made in the spring each year.

Central Interior Advisory Council
The Central Interior Advisory Council handles the planning and implementation of local BC HRMA activities and is made up of members representing a broad range of HR experience levels and areas of practice as follows:

Chair - Lisa Fuller, CHRP
Lisa is Manager, Employee Experience at the BC Lottery Corporation. This is her second year as a member of the council and her first as Chair. |

Outgoing Chair & Communications - Jordan Clarke, CHRP
Jordan is a knowledge management consultant with the BC Public Service Agency. This is Jordan's fourth year as member of the council. She previously held the public relations portfolio. |

Administrator - Katie McPhedran
Katie is a student in the HR program at Thompson Rivers University and joins the council for the first time this year. |

Awards - Sandy Austin, CHRP
Sandy is Manager, Business Services at the BC Lottery Corporation. She is joining the council for the first time this year. |

Communications - Debbie Cobb, CHRP
Debbie has a wide range of HR experience and joins the council for the first time this year. |

Mentoring - Connie Georget, CHRP
Connie is a Personnel Officer with Teck Resources Limited in Logan Lake. This is her third year on the council. She has previously held the Post Secondary lead role. |

Bernie is a Human resources Officer at Thompson Rivers University. This is her first year as a member of the Advisory Council. |

Christine is HR Advisor at BC Lottery Corporation. She rejoins the council in 2012 having held a number of portfolios previously. |

Jennifer is a Human resources Advisor at Thompson Rivers University. She is moving into her second year on the council. |

A recent graduate, Amanda is an HR Coordinator with the BC Lottery Corporation. She shares the Post Secondary Liaison role and has been a member of the council for three years. |
