Member Services Manager
(BC Interior & Fraser Valley)
Tim Read
Manager and liaison for all programs, events, initiatives and inquiries within these regions: Fraser Valley, Southern Interior, Central Interior and Northern
Tim has more than six years of association management experience in B.C.'s Interior as well as a decade of marketing and business development skills. Prior to joining BC HRMA, he managed the Interior regions of the BC Restaurant & Foodservices Association, increasing the profile and membership of that organization and continues to do the same for the BC HRMA.
Tim graduated with a BSc Honours Degree in Management Studies, specializing in Marketing, from Lancaster University, UK. He then succeeded in product management and marketing management roles and was business development manager of MAC Tools Europe before emigrating to Canada with his wife, Sarah.
After spending some time enjoying the resort lifestyle in Whistler, he moved to Kelowna where he now lives with his wife and young daughters, Jemma and Annie. This provides a good central location to serve the BC HRMA Members and Advisory Councils of the Southern Interior, Central Interior, Northern Region and Fraser Valley.
Tim enjoys traveling internationally, golfing, tennis, snowboarding and other recreational activities in the Okanagan as well as exploring its food & wine scene. However, his favourite pastime is now spending time with his young family.
