Susan Pearse
Logistics for Professional Development sessions, including venue, hosts, speakers, materials, learning and networking events for the Vancouver Island Region.
Susan is a vital part of the BC HRMA team. She organizes Vancouver Island Region Professional Development Events and Monthly Mingles and looks forward to communicating with and providing excellent support to all members of BC HRMA.
Susan spent 23 years in the Electrical and Engineering Departments of TELUS. Technology was forever changing and so were the responsibilities of her job. She was asked to train the electrical crews on the basics of computers, laptops and various software programs. From that request evolved a recognized TELUS course and a realization of how much she enjoyed training and development.
In 2003 Susan was given the opportunity to separate from TELUS and start something new in conjunction with 24 Carrot Learning and BC HRMA. She was offered a friendly, flexible and fun working environment and after job-sharing for 10 years and raising a family, it fit with Susan's lifestyle. Today Susan enjoys the variety in her work and looks forward to continuing success working with BC HRMA.
