Manager, Marketing & Communications
Kara Douglas
Manages the Association Branding, Marketing & Communications, works closely with Director of Business Development managing the Communications Specialist, BD Project Manager, Event Coordinator and PD Coordinator.
An avid traveler, Kara has studied in Mexico, USA and Canada. After graduating from Trinity Western University with an undergraduate degree in Communications and a minor in Business, Kara worked for a couple of years writing government proposals and business/communication plans for a non-profit organization.
Kara then moved to Chicago where she worked at North Park University and much of her time was spent overseeing and directing all internal and external marketing and publicity, along with event planning for an education centre on campus. During her stay in Chicago Kara was also able to complete her MBA with an emphasis in Marketing.
Kara has been with the association for 3 ½ years and loves living in Vancouver with her husband. You can find Kara walking throughout the city, playing volleyball, gardening, hanging out with friends and dreaming of her next big trip.
