Northern

The Northern Advisory Council handles the planning and implementation of local BC HRMA activities and is made up of members representing a broad range of HR experience levels and areas of practice.

BC HRMA members are encouraged to participate on the Advisory Council and/or provide suggestions and ideas of local interest. The Northern Advisory Council welcomes input from all BC HRMA members who would like to be involved with the growth of HR practice in the region. A call for volunteers on the Council is made in the spring each year.

Your Northern Advisory Council:

	Chair – Kara Biles, CHRP Kara is the Recruitment Coordinator with Canadian Forest Products Ltd and an Instructor in the Human Resources program at the College of New Caledonia. This is her first year as Chair and her third year on the Advisory Council.
	Co-Administrator – Dustin Elliott, CHRP Candidate Dustin is a fourth year student at UNBC. He has joined the Advisory Council for the first time this year.
	Co-Administrator – Aaron Dick, CHRP Candidate Aaron is a fourth year student at UNBC and is Human Resources Admin Assistant at Canadian Forest Products Ltd. He has joined the Advisory Council for the first time this year.
	Awards & Networking Events – Colleen Fitzpatrick, CHRP Colleen is the Human Resource Business Partner at Finning (Canada). Colleen is returning to the Advisory Council after a break, previously being Chair and a member of the provincial Board of Directors.
	Awards & Mentoring – Susan Moen, CHRP Susan is the Manager HR Advisory Services at the BC Public Service Agency. She has joined the Advisory Council for the first time this year.
	Communications & Professional Development/CHRP – Debora Marko, CHRP Debora is a Operational Training Manager at the BC Public Service Agency. She is in her first year as a member of the Advisory Council.
	Communications & Professional Development/CHRP – Stefanie Young, CHRP Stefanie is a Human Resources Advisor at the City of Prince George and this is her first year on the Advisory Council.
	Cariboo Chilcotin – Penny Robart Penny is a Managing Partner with ESP Consulting Ltd and is in her fourth year on the Advisory Council. She continues to manage all activities in the Cariboo Chilcotin area.
	Post Secondary Liaison & Membership – Joanne Hanson, CHRP Joanne is the Executive Director at the Ministry of Justice and is in her third year on the council.
	Post Secondary Liaison & Mentoring – Sabrina Mowbray, CHRP Sabrina is the HR Coordinator at Sinclar Forest Products Group and is in her second year on the Council.
	Professional Development, CHRP lead & Networking – Sandra Rees, CHRP Sandra is a human resources consultant and partner in UP-Performance. She has been on the council for five years, two as Chair, and has previously served as a BC HRMA provincial Board Member.
	Volunteering – Rob Jarvis Rob is Manager, Talent & Employee Development at Canadian Forest Products Ltd and is in his third year on the Advisory Council.
